In a bare-metal environment, wc_InitRng() may fail if wolfCrypt cannot access a suitable entropy source by default. You’ll need to configure wolfSSL to use your platform’s hardware TRNG, usually by enabling the relevant hardware-specific options or providing a custom RNG callback. Check the porting documentation for your MCU and make sure the TRNG is properly initialized before generating random values. Also, verify that your build includes the required wolfCrypt RNG support and share the exact error code if the issue persists.

For GNU-EFI, you can start with the wolfSSL UEFI example, which provides a working reference for building against GNU-EFI. You will need to compile the required wolfSSL source files using the same architecture and compiler settings as your EFI application, rather than relying on a standard Linux build. Make sure the GNU-EFI headers, linker flags, and wolfSSL configuration are set correctly. Test the resulting EFI binary in QEMU with OVMF before running it on actual hardware.
