Topic: Porting wolfMQTT on Freescale MQX 4.0.2

I need to implement a MQtt client interface on my product based on NXP/Freescale MQX 4.0.2 running on Kinetis K61 processor.
I have read the MQX should be supported but in not clear to me what are the steps I need to do. I am currently using Codewarrior 10.4.
Is there any guideline and/or roadmap to MQX implementation?

Thanks in advance

M. Colella

Re: Porting wolfMQTT on Freescale MQX 4.0.2

Hi M. Colella,

Could you tell us the end goals of your project, what are you working on, what will it do? We love to hear about all the new and exciting ways people are using our embedded TLS/SSL library!

There are many customers using wolfSSL on MQX today. If you execute this google search you will find a lot of hits on the forums here with many helpful suggestions and issues some of our users have had when building for the first time with MQX:

Google Query: MQX

The guide for building wolfSSL (Formerly known as CyaSSL) can be found on the NXP site here:

Our product comes bundled. It is called "CyaSSL for Kinetis SDK with MQX RTOS"

Once you are up and running with the wolfSSL library the MQTT guide can be found here:

It should not be too difficult to port MQTT as all the underlying security relies on the wolfSSL library which has already been ported. Once you get to that step though, if you have any trouble please let us know, we are happy to help any way we can.

We have not personally ported our MQTT solution to MQX yet as it is still a newer product but we're happy to assist you in the effort.

Thank you for using the wolfSSL Forums!

Best Regards,
