The Renesas RA6M3 and RA6M4 MCUs feature high-performance Arm Cortex cores with TrustZone technology and utilize the Flexible Software Package built on FreeRTOS. The open FSP ecosystem is highly scalable and can be expanded with additional RTOS options and middleware.
Released in August 2025, FSP v6.1.0 is a major version update that delivers enhanced performance and improved system stability through updated drivers and software components. With this new support, developers can take full advantage of the latest advances in the Renesas RA platform when deploying wolfSSL-based security solutions.
Example applications for Renesas RA series MCUs, along with Renesas IDE e2studio project files, are included in the wolfSSL software package under the /IDE/Renesas/e2studio/RA6Mx directories. Comprehensive documentation is also provided to help developers quickly get started with wolfSSL on these platforms.
