wolfSSL adds support for libspdm 3.7.0

wolfSSL now includes updated support for libspdm 3.7.0. libspdm is the reference implementation of the DMTF’s Security Protocols and Data Models (SPDM) specifications, which provide device attestation, authentication, and mechanisms for establishing secure communications over any transport. Both wolfSSL and SPDM are designed to be transport-agnostic, making them a good fit together.

Updating to libspdm 3.7.0 brings compatibility with the latest upstream SPDM reference code and includes the usual set of fixes and improvements that come with a point release. This update helps ensure wolfSSL users can leverage recent SPDM developments while maintaining interoperability and security.

As before, wolfCrypt—wolfSSL’s underlying cryptographic library—provides the crypto primitives SPDM needs. wolfCrypt is a lightweight, embeddable, and configurable crypto library supporting algorithms used by SPDM such as AES, ChaCha20-Poly1305, Poly1305, SHA-3, RSA, and ECC. wolfCrypt is FIPS 140-3 validated, available under both open source and commercial licenses, and also supports Chinese SM algorithms (SM2, SM3, SM4).
