The Vorago VA416x0 is a radiation-hardened Arm Cortex-M4F microcontroller used in space, satellite and other high-reliability systems, and is fully supported by wolfSSL and wolfBoot. wolfCrypt now adds support for its on-chip True Random Number Generator (TRNG), a hardware entropy source for TLS and key generation.
- Enable with WOLFSSL_VA416X0_TRNG and the Vorago SDK header va416xx.h on the include path. No SDK driver is needed.
- The TRNG seeds the SP800-90A Hash-DRBG, which produces the random output. Keep HAVE_HASHDRBG enabled, since the TRNG alone delivers only about 1.25 kb/s.
- Every block of entropy is checked by the TRNG’s built-in health tests (Von Neumann, CRNGT and autocorrelation). A failed block is discarded and collected again, and wolfCrypt returns an error rather than using bad entropy.
Full details are in the pull request 10671.
